Students of the San Pedro Apostle School in San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia, have made a report to learn about what biodynamic agriculture is and what its benefits are compared to conventional crops and for this they have made a visit to one of the plots of Bio Campo, one of the integral members of Camposeven, formed by families of organic and / or biodynamic farmers.

The report is titled 'The path to healthier farming' and has been published in My digital newspaper, a school competition organized by the newspaper La Verdad.

In addition to the report, signed by Víctor López, the students conducted a video interview with Jennifer Moreno, technician responsible for biodynamic agriculture of Bio Campo, who explained how this agriculture uses natural resources responsibly, without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides or transgenic.

Another question from the students of the San Pedro Apóstol school was about the differences between biodynamic and ecological agriculture. Jennifer Moreno has detailed that both types of agriculture share respect for the environment and the biodiversity of the environment and none of them uses chemical fertilizers. What distinguishes them is that in biodynamic agriculture the preparations are used: natural and physiologically active compounds, made with vegetable, animal and, in some occasions, mineral substances. These biodynamic preparations make it possible to prevent pests and make crops stronger.

Jennifer showed the students the preparations and one of the cow horns that are filled with dung and buried in the month of October and that in the next weeks will be unearthed once they have fermented and have accumulated all the properties and energy of the earth. This fertilizer, known as prepared 500, is energized, at a rate of 300 grams per hectare mixed with 50 liters of water. And with this water the ground is pulverized, allowing the energy and properties accumulated in the preparation to be distributed throughout the earth.

The practice of biodynamic agriculture and the use of these preparations allows to extend the useful life of vegetables during storage, reduces nitrate levels and increases the vitamin and sugar content of the plant.
